Some very interesting new search tools from Google; Search Using Images, and Search Using Voice, and Google +1

After installing the chrome plugin, I tested it out a few times. Works pretty well, although the word “brandscaping” brought up some interesting results – none of them close to being correct. I guess we need to get our name out there a bit more to appease the Google gods! (looks like this is available in US English only at the moment, but I was able to install this Chrome extension to enable it – now I’ve got the microphone in every box that pops up…)

I wasn’t able to test the image search – and not sure how useful it will be on the desktop computer – but for mobile apps it could be a great feature.

Google’s answer to Facebook’s Like button – the +1 button is pretty interesting, but not sure if it will overtake the Like button anytime soon.
