FreelanceCamp Sponsor – @HemlockPrinters

It’s always great to find local companies that have been able to grow from a small operation into a well respected, active member of the community, online and offline.  Hemlock printers actively works to promote the local freelance community, either through direct employment or by recommending local freelancers to the businesses that need them.  We’re very excited to have Hemlock Printers as a sponsor for our FreelanceCamp – and would love to share them with you.

And – they’ve donated some pretty cool prizes for us to share with you – we’re pretty excited about that, too!

Who works at Hemlock Printers?

Our People

Hemlock employs over 170 craftspeople. We are extremely proud to have a low turnover rate, in fact, 45% of our team members have been with the company for over 10 years and 15% have been with the company for over 20 years. Many of our talented press operators started working at Hemlock immediately after high school and have grown with the company to become highly skilled professionals, committed to their craft and to Hemlock’s ideal of Integrity in Colour.

The loyalty and dedication of our employees can be attributed to the way the company regards its employees. One of the tenets of our mission statement is “to encourage all employees to learn and develop and to provide the opportunity to reach personal career objectives, in an environment that inspires team spirit, high achievement and continuous improvement.” Many of our staff are involved in industry associations and technical groups that study and communicate changes in the industry’s technologies.

We’re proud to be a privately owned, family-run company with 40 years of history. We foster an open and friendly environment where we recognize that each member of the team is an integral part of the big picture. We have many two-generation families and married couples as part of the Hemlock team – we feel that’s an important part of our corporate culture.
