A few months ago I was asked to review the second iteration of Dan Schawbel‘s personal branding guidebook, ME 2.0 – 4 steps to Building Your Future. You can find the review here on Workawesome. I found the book useful for myself as well as for my clients. It’s clear, concise, and most importantly – correct. Schawbel isn’t a self-proclaimed expert – he’s a young guy that saw where personal branding and social media was heading, and he jumped all over it. This book contains the tools and techniques he recommends for you to build your own personal brand.
“I never set out to make money with personal branding; it was more of a hobby. It was something I was doing during high school and college. I took the title of “Personal Branding Expert for Gen Y” because no one else was out there doing it yet.”
Schawbel is a dynamic wunderkind, and I was thrilled to get the chance to interview him before the revised version of his book dropped. On top of a great personality, he’s got an easy manner about him. It’s clear to see that he loves what he’s doing, and he loves sharing it with everyone who will listen.
Google “Personal Branding Expert” to get an idea of the presence that Schawbel has on the internet, and make sure you check his blog to stay on top of current trends in social media and personal branding.
