There’s rarely a simple answer for writing rates, as there are many factors involved. Research, tone, reach, CTA (Call to Action) and other critical components play a part in determining the overall cost of a project, so we’ve come up with an effective method of providing excellent copy that will do what you need it to do – and you won’t have to worry about any surprises when you get the final bill.
Before we start working together we’ll have a meeting, in person if possible, or on the phone/skype if time and geography are concerns. We’d like to know what your goals and needs are so we can create an effective plan for you and your message. Once we’ve got an idea of the scope of the project, we’ll provide you with a proposal. We base each project on our hourly rate of $75(CDN if you’re in Canada, USD for everyone else) and the proposal will provide a breakdown of all costs, so you will know exactly how much the project will cost before you commit to anything. Our proposal will include a few rounds of revisions (usually 2,) but if you’re quick to reply or need minimal changes, the final invoice might be lower than the proposal.
Sometimes, stuff happens. We’re pretty good at adapting to the situation and we understand you might need to make some changes during the project. If the scope of a project changes, and this is going to affect the final price, we will let you know ahead of time so you can approve the price change. We’re flexible and easygoing, and if we can see a way to save you money, we’ll be quick to share that with you.
